Issues
Issues drive organizations, and organizations drive issues.

Issues can be defined as concerns and matters that touch and affect public safety, welfare and the entire spectrum of societal interests. Issues are all about problems and solutions. Issues are affected and driven by all entities—regardless of whether they are in the public, private or nonprofit sectors. All entities and individuals are intertwined in the interplay of various actions, missions, advocacies--with resulting ramifications to all of society.

The challenge of effective public relations is to extract truth and credibility from the morass of information and misinformation swirling around palpable and not so palpable and obvious issues. There is a power to properly communicated truth: it engages, informs, influences and through resulting concerned awareness ultimately helps make corrections and changes for a common good.
